How to choose the right MFP for your business.

  • The first thing to consider in broad terms is the various needs that your office staff have. This is in terms of printing, copying and scanning as these are the core facilities an MFP will provide.
  • Have a strong idea of the types of documents the equipment will be working with and producing in terms of volume of work, percentage of colour, paper sizes and finishing requirements if producing stapled and/or booklet sets etc.
  • Take a good look at how your current set-up works i.e do you have a central machine or a number of smaller machines? Consider how this could be improved on by changing equipment and methods by which documents are processed.

Tablet Printing

  • MFPs have come a long way in the last few years offering not only great quality print but also fully integrated scanning solutions. Which (if you were not aware of) help to improve the efficiency, security and productivity of your scanning process and retrieval.
  • In this age of ‘mobile’ living we now have systems that are able to interact with your mobile devices. There are more connectivity options than ever before which can be a real advantage for people on the go!
  • Lastly, when you are looking for new equipment it’s all too easy to get caught up in all the jargon and technological functions. However, what is important is how they work for your business and if you do actually need them. Even more important is what level of support will you be experiencing after the initial buzz has died down?!
